Botanical Name: Narcissus pseudonarcissus

Position: Full sun with some protection from strong winds.

Climate: Suitable for Mediterranean and temperate/dry climates. Frost tolerant.

Planting Time: Autumn to winter.

Watering: Water thoroughly after planting, then wait until foliage appears before watering again. Keep bulbs moist during dry periods while growing. Do not water when dormant.

Flowering Time: Spring.

Fertilising: Apply a light application of blood and bone or complete fertiliser after flowering. Poor soils may benefit from an additional all-purpose feed.

Soil: Well-drained soil. Daffodils are adaptable to a range of soil pH levels.

Pests: Protect emerging growth with snail bait.

Growing Tips: Plant bulbs at the recommended depth or slightly deeper in warm climates to encourage healthy growth and flowering. In well-drained soil, bulbs can remain in the ground for several years and be divided when overcrowded. If lifting, allow foliage to die back naturally before digging and storing bulbs in a cool, dry, airy place.
